In 2025, Mediate BC’s Board of Directors updated the award to better reflect its increased focus on areas of reconciliation and social justice, in addition to its continuing public interest focus. Thus, the revamped Excellence in Conflict Resolution Awards include three categories to better recognize deserving individuals: the Reconciliation, Mentor and Builder Awards.
