New and learning conflict resolution practitioners often seek mentoring and other opportunities to work with and learn from more experienced colleagues.
Mediate BC offers its Associates the opportunity to participate in a pilot mentorship project. This project matches Associates with mentors in three ways: 1) referrals through ongoing collaborations with organizations (e.g. Better Business Bureau); 2) when parties to a mediation agree to appointment of a co-mediation team; or 3) when an Associate receives a mediation referral and seeks a co-mediator to support them. Associates pay a fee that contributes to mentoring time and administration.
For more information on this project and additional information on support for Associates, contact our Roster Manager.
Mediate BC serves communities across the lands of many Indigenous peoples, unceded, unsurrendered, and treaty. We are committed to advancing Indigenous sovereignty, inherent rights and self-determination. In order to do this, we commit to deepening our understanding of the histories and cultures of Indigenous peoples and the ongoing effects of colonization. Further, we commit to developing meaningful dialogue and relationships founded on respect.
