The "CLawBies", or the Canadian Law Blog Awards, are handed out annually on New Year’s Eve. 2011 marks the sixth consecutive year of bestowing CLawBies on Canadian legal bloggers.
The CLawBie awards provide an opportunity to promote Canadian online legal commentary and to single out what the judges believe are the best examples of this rapidly expanding community.
The CLawBie judges are looking for the best law blogs in Canada. Every December, they ask Canadian lawyers and legal professionals to nominate candidates via blog posts or Tweets. This year, Mediate BC's Distance Family Mediation Project blog, "BC Distance Family Mediation," won one of the runner-up awards for the best "new" blog" category.Susanna Jani, Project Manager of the Distance Family Mediation Project and her excellent team of Family Roster Mediators and Family Justice Counsellors, are the blog's authors and contributors.
